The Art & Science of Delivering Training
When: Thursday, August 19, 2010; 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Are you challenged as a trainer to meet the needs of your audience? Come to the August program to discover the art and science of delivering training. The "art" applies when the trainer establishes their credibility by drawing
the audience in as they help participants answer "What's In It For Me". This activity guarantees that the valuable time spent away from work is beneficial.
The "science" comes in play as the trainer selects the right training methodologies to meet the varying learning and social needs of the audience. When you combine relationship-building with solid delivery methods, you create
an atmosphere where participants learn while enjoying the experience.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify their social style and the styles of others
- Employ training activities best suited for a given learning style
Come to the August 19th meeting to learn how you can improve your training delivery!
Speaker: Don Mock, founder of Performance Partners, is a seasoned leader in creating organizational success. With over 30 years of experience working with adult learners, Don's classroom "partners" learn vital success strategies in an energetic and motivational environment. Don increases effectiveness and profitability with a variety of organizations. Previously, Don was employed at Tyco Electronics and also taught the Foundations in Training & Development at Penn State. He is an active member of ASTD and has served in numerous leadership roles.
